, we drafted two provisional learning progressions (LPs) for the core concept of
matter and its interactions
and a provisional LP for the science practice of constructing
. Based on external feedback from advisory committees, we made multiple revisions to these provisional progressions. We chose to keep the progressions for content and practice separate, given that it might be difficult to disentangle the constructs if they were present in a fused progression.
